Wake Forest kicks off its annual TurkeyPalooza

The Campus Kitchen at Wake Forest continues the tradition of preparing Thanksgiving meals for those in need. Students this year will cook more than 600 meals and volunteers will make deliveries to community partners including Samaritan Ministries, Hope to Thrive, Azalea Terrace, FaithHealth NC and DEAC Clinic. Campus Kitchen provides meals to its partners throughout the year, but for TurkeyPalooza all meals are scratch-made.

Global perspective

A summer study abroad program became a pivotal experience for Avery Hale Smith (’16), a turning point she credits with giving her the confidence to embrace uncertainty and lead with a global perspective.

Pro Humanitate (for humanity) invites us to use our ideas, knowledge, talents and compassion on behalf of all humanity.

Every year during TurkeyPalooza, our students prepare and deliver hundreds of meals to neighbors across Winston-Salem. With Campus Kitchen leading the way, we’re reaching those in our community experiencing food insecurity. #ProHumanitate
